Pua Pakalana

The Pua Pakalana collection is inspired by the beautiful lei made of Pakalana flowers, also known as Chinese Violet, and its representation as a gift of affection. It was often hung over a baby's crib for them to smell the sweet aroma. A deeper inspiration comes from both my great-grandmother who was a lei maker, and my Kumu Hula who encouraged me to use Hawaiian plants in my designs and whose favorite color is purple.
