Collection: 'Onipa'a

The word 'Onipa'a means immovable, steadfast, determined. This collection was inspired by our last Queen, Lydia Liliʻu Loloku Walania Wewehi Kamakaʻeha, otherwise known as Lili'uokalaniShe ruled the nation of Hawai'i until the illegal overthrow and eventual annexation which culminated in 1898. Her dignity and strength were tested as she was locked in her own palace by foreign businessmen supported by the US military. Her songs and words echo to us, including this saying: "Never cease to act because you fear you may fail."
